I thought this particular photo-shoot was an apt depiction of Serge and Jane.I really felt their essence in the models.The female model also does look alot like Jane in the 60's.I've recently become enamoured with couples from the 60's.Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg had such a beautiful/glamorous love-story that I thought had a lot of free spirit in it.Just like the decade they found fame in.I also love the very French coolness about them.Whether it was their fashion,music of their lifestyle itself...they captured a fantasy for me at least.Je'Taime Jane and Serge!!!

BALENCIAGA - A RETURN OF THE SUPERMODELS OF THE PAST/CURRENT DECADES.

I really love the aesthetics of the whole show.Androgyny with a bit of a grungy punk vibe again.This being Balenciaga and all,the Ghesquiere signature was still very poignantly on display with playful shapes but a very clean line for an undertone.A sophisticated grunge chic if i may call it.This was Balenciaga's 60th Anniversary Spring 2011show so the supermodels on the runway were a whose who of all the biggies of the modeling world like Gisele Bundchen,Amber Valetta,Carolyn Murphy,Stella Tennant along with it girls like Freja Beha Erichsen,Jamie Bochert and a pregnant Miranda Kerr
